Plain Thinking
Circulation terms.
Payment options are coming soon. These draft terms describe the intended personal access and office/group circulation lanes before paid access opens.
Audience
Plain Thinking is for prosecutors and the people who support prosecution, including office leadership, investigators, victim-witness staff, and legal or technical staff with a professional reason to follow AI, criminal justice, investigative tools, records, rulings, policy, and enforcement.
It is not legal advice, case consulting, or a substitute for agency review, counsel review, supervisory judgment, or source checking.
Personal Access
Personal access is for one reader. The reader may keep personal copies and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link where appropriate.
Personal access does not include public republication, bulk forwarding, posting full issues publicly, resale, or office-wide circulation.
Office / Group License
An Office / Group License covers one named office, agency, organization, department, unit, or working group identified at purchase.
The named group may circulate Plain Thinking internally by email, print, PDF, knowledge base, intranet, or comparable internal channel inside that named group.
The license does not allow public republication, resale, external syndication, posting full issues to public websites or social platforms, distribution outside the named group, or distribution to a broader member network unless that scope is separately written and priced.
Archive And Supplements
The Initial Report run and new Plain Thinking issues live together here as the issue archive.
When paid access opens, it will cover the issue archive, future issues during the access term, the supplement archive, and future supplements as published during the term.
VORASYNC will send an expiration reminder before the access term ends when contact information is available.
Supplements are editorial products from Plain Thinking. They are not custom reports commissioned by readers.
Paid access does not include custom supplements, custom knowledge work, office training materials, private briefings, VORASYNC training services, software access, CJI review, or case-specific review unless separately agreed in writing.
Payment
Payment options are not active at launch. When online checkout opens, it will buy the access term shown at purchase. Access will be fixed-term and will not auto-renew. Stripe will handle card payment, receipts, and checkout invoices.
Office licenses may also be paid by invoice, purchase order, ACH, or check. W-9 and ordinary government procurement paperwork are available on request.
Future access requires a new checkout, invoice, purchase order, or written agreement. Refunds are not prorated unless required by law or agreed separately in writing.
Requests for custom supplements, training, private briefings, CJI-involved work, or other knowledge work are separately scoped and accepted only in writing.
Editorial Independence
Payment for Plain Thinking does not buy coverage, placement, endorsement, omission, favorable treatment, or influence over editorial judgment.
VORASYNC may cover tools, policies, vendors, agencies, rulings, enforcement actions, and public controversies whether or not a reader or organization paid for access.
These draft terms apply when Plain Thinking paid access and office/group licenses open.
